  1. I bought these speakers based on the stellar reviews and the price. I’m not really all that impressed.

  2. Hi All.

After I read all of the reviews. I figured that these Logitech Speakers couldn’t be to bad for the money. Boy, was I ever wrong. I’m not a seriouse nut case when it come to music. But I sure as heck can tell when something sounds good or not. Trust me, theses speakers sound awful. I have a Brand New HP 16 inch Laptop. Even my lousy built in speakers in my Laptop sound better than theses speakers. Theses speakers remind me of the tiny transister Radio’s of the 60′s. There not even worth the trouble to return them. I have owned other Logitech items in the past, and have enjoyed them very much. But, did Logitech ever drop the ball on theses speakers. I only gave it one star, or I wouldn’t have been able to leave a review. What bothers me, is all of the 5 star and 4 star ratings that these speakers got. There sure must be an awful lot of people out there that don’t hear correctly if they think these are great speakers. Don’t waste your money on them. I have a pair of 15 year old Laptop Speakers that sound really good even after all of theses years. To bad the old 1.1 speakers don’t work on a 2.0 Laptop. What a total waste of money. Good Luck

  3. This is – as the only product I have purchased for the last year on amazon – NOT dualvoltage. This info is nowhere to be found on neither Amazon or Logitech web. If you think of going to Europe – don’t buy this. So if anyone is in the market for a pay of unused speakers…

  4. The stars are representative of the customer service not the product itself. The seller promptly returned my emails when the product was not working for me and offered various options of how to deal with that, including a full refund or replacement free of charge. I really appreciated their understanding and willingness to work with me, and would not hesitate to purchase from them in the future.

    thanks

  5. I’ve always purchased Creative Labs speakers and have been very happy with them. I read lots of the reviews about the Logitech X-140 speakers and thought I would give them a shot. I had a coupon for them… and I wish I hadn’t used it. While they look great, are heavy and would have been perfect for my 9 and 7 year old kids, the sound just stinks. Even though my kids wouldn’t know the difference, I just can’t stand the thought of walking past their rooms and wishing they would turn them down so I wouldn’t have to listen to them. I know, I know, it sounds snobby, but I’m not kidding. I can see how folks who only play computer games or limited styles of music might think they sound great and have given them four or five stars, but if you put any kind of rap, dance, hip hop, current country or techno on these things they sound like poop being rubbed into your ear. The louder you turn them up the worse they sound. At low volume they were muddy and too hard to make out. At mid volumes they rattled, popped and hummed. I tried editing equalizer options, SRS and WOW effects (turning them off and on) and could never get them to sound right. Save your time and money and buy something else. I’m returning these tomorrow.
